Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta & NWT provides students with the opportunity to apply for over $25,000 in local scholarships and $50,000 in national scholarships. To be eligible, students must participate in the JA Company Program.
Participants in the program are also held in high esteem when applying for scholarships not provided by Junior Achievement.

National Awards & Scholarships
Junior Achievement of Canada offers national awards and scholarships for high school students who have participated in the Company Program in their local charter. Click here to view awards and scholarships.
This list is comprised of scholarships that achievers are eligible for or that JA Alumni have received by using JA on their applications. These scholarships are in addition to the scholarships provided by JA Northern Alberta & NWT and JA Canada. Most of these are entrance scholarships that are applicable to only graduating high school students.
Purpose: Provides grants in the names of Alberta entrepreneurs to Alberta high school graduates entering the first year of studies at an accredited Alberta post-secondary institution in preparation for starting a business. Academic excellence is NOT a prerequisite.
Value: $3000 x 6 Grants
Purpose: To recognize a young person who has demonstrated significant amounts of Innovation, Leadership and Achievements in their life, school, community, province or country.
Value: All expenses paid trip to Toronto for the Top 20 Under 20™ Leadership Summit occurring June 1 to 4th and Career Coaching x 20
Purpose: Builds the capacity of the next generation of business leaders by awarding scholarships to Canadian students with a demonstrated interest in international business.
Value: $4000 x 30 Grants
University of Alberta Specific
- JA-specific scholarships in this competition include:
Peter F. Bronfman Scholarship in Entrepreneurship ($5,000 over 4 years)
Robert F. LePoole Leadership Scholarship in Entrepreneurship ($12,000 over 4 years)
